Cuteness to calm your nerves comes from many animals, even when they squawk and squeak professionals.

My relationship with parrots is rather weird. I honestly think they're colorful and beautiful birds, and I enjoy looking at them. I took my daughter to a humanitarian kids' farm, and they had the biggest macaws I've ever seen - I was just as mesmerized as my 1-year-old. But the volume of their screams was like standing an inch away from a roaring lion. There are also the rose-ringed parakeets that have started to multiply where I live. Apparently, someone illegally raised some, but they ran away and overpopulated the local skies ever since. Seeing a pack of these green beauties is amazing, but not when they scream outside your window at 5 am.

I also had a boss in an old job who raised a cockatoo at home. Whenever I had to call him when he was home, the conversation would be accompanied by constant background screaming. He was a cutie, though. When we had a meeting at his house, the cockatoo would actually sit quietly on one of the team members' shoulders and listen. It was quite the experience.

So why do I bring parrots here today? Because, for some reason, I just want to scream this Sunday. But I also want to be surrounded by cute animal humor. Is that too much to ask? I don't think so. And it's so perfectly portrayed in parrots. So, meme galore!
